These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Rect. By checking the agreement box and continuing, or by otherwise using Rect where these terms are presented, you agree to version 2026-08-27 of these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Rect is provided by Suri, Inc., a United States corporation. You can contact us at support@suri.team or by mail at 1111b South Governors Av #88996, Dover, DE 19904, US.
2. The service
Rect hosts rects — live, shareable interactive views backed by a JSON view model. View authors publish reusable templates; people and AI agents issue live instances from them and edit those instances through the browser, our MCP server, the rect CLI, or the HTTP API. Parts of the service — opening an instance's link, or issuing an instance through an agent — work without an account; publishing and managing templates requires one.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 13 and legally capable of agreeing to these terms. If local law requires a higher minimum age, that age applies. If you use Rect for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. You must provide accurate account information and keep login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity by teammates, invited users, and AI agents acting with credentials or links you gave them.
4. Capability links
Each issued instance has independent read and write permissions. A Rect may be available to anyone holding its capability URL, any signed-in user, workspace members, or only its owner and administrators. You are responsible for choosing those permissions and for who you (and agents acting for you) share instance links or credentials with.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Rect to:
- break the law or violate the rights of others;
- publish or issue views that impersonate other services, harvest credentials, or otherwise phish, deceive, or defraud the people you send them to;
- distribute malware or attempt to escape the view sandbox or the actions runtime;
- send spam or abusive content;
- attempt to bypass security, guess capability identifiers, or access another user's data;
- reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the service;
- upload or generate unlawful, infringing, harmful, or abusive content.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the templates you publish, the view models and attachments you submit, and other materials you provide. You grant us permission to host, process, transmit, and display that content as reasonably needed to provide, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service — including serving your views to people allowed by their permissions and syncing view models between participants in real time.
Views are user-authored software. If you publish a template, you are responsible for what its code does within the sandbox and for the accuracy of its declared spec and actions. If you make a template public or share it for remixing, you permit others to issue instances from it (and, where remixing is enabled, to download and adapt its source).
7. AI agents
Rect includes a hosted Agent that uses third-party AI and execution providers to respond to prompts, work with Rect or App state, call tools, and process selected files. This hosted Agent is part of the service, but its underlying models and provider services are supplied by third parties. The Privacy Policy describes the information sent to OpenAI, Google Gemini, E2B, and other providers.
You may also connect independent agents through MCP, the CLI, or our API. You are responsible for an agent's activity when it acts with credentials, permissions, or links you provide. AI output and tool results can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable. Review them before relying on them or using them for decisions with legal, financial, medical, safety, or other significant effects.
8. Subscriptions, fees, and taxes
Paid plans, if offered, are billed according to the plan and billing terms shown at checkout or in your account. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise. You are responsible for applicable taxes and for keeping payment information current.
9. Intellectual property
Suri, Inc. and its licensors own the service, including software, design, trademarks, documentation, and other materials. These terms do not grant you ownership of the service's intellectual property. You may use the service only as permitted by these terms. Our SDKs and CLI are licensed under the terms that accompany their packages.
10. Beta features and changes
We may offer beta, experimental, or preview features. These features may change, break, or be discontinued at any time. We may also update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as our product evolves.
11. Termination
You may stop using Rect at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, or remove templates and instances, if you violate these terms, create risk for the service or other users, or fail to pay applicable fees. After termination, provisions that by their nature should survive will continue to apply.
12. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and holdSuri, Inc. harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your templates and the views they render, your use of the service, agents acting on your behalf, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
13. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Suri, Inc. disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Views are authored by users, and we do not warrant the behavior or content of any particular template or instance. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these disclaimers may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Suri, Inc. is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Suri, Inc.'s total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and, when appropriate, ask you to accept a new version before continuing into your workspace. The new terms apply from the effective date stated in the notice or acceptance screen.
